My children love the series “True and the Rainbow Kingdom.” The bright colors, lovable characters, and exciting yet always gentle adventures quickly turned it into a true favorite. It doesn’t even matter that there are only a few episodes—some of them have simply been watched over and over again.
There was just one small downside: here in Austria, the series is hardly available commercially. Finding small character figures to play with is almost impossible. So I decided to get creative myself—and that’s exactly how this crochet pattern set came to life.
With great attention to detail, the most important characters from the Rainbow Kingdom were brought together in this crochet pattern set. The patterns are designed to be easy to follow and guide you step by step through the entire process. This makes it simple to crochet True, Bartleby, Cumulo, Zee, and even the Wishing Tree yourself—ready for new adventures, handmade with love.
The main character, True, is approximately 14 cm (5.5 in) tall and of course wears her three signature colorful beads in her hair. Her best friend Bartleby the cat, along with the wise Zee, complete the group. The fluffy cloud Cumulo is, of course, an essential part of the set. A special highlight is the Wishing Tree, which is the largest figure at 24 cm (9.5 in). It is decorated with many yellow beads representing wishes. One of the great advantages of this pattern is its flexibility: if you prefer not to use beads, the tree can also be decorated in a more traditional way with small crocheted apples or other details.
